FAQs
What happens in my first lesson?
A first lesson is all about getting to know you and your voice. We will begin with a consultation where I will ask about you, your voice and your goals. Then, you will sing! This allows me to hear your voice and make a clear plan for how to structure your lessons to bring you towards your goals.
Should I bring anything?
Yourself and a song! We will use backing tracks, so finding a track on YouTube prior to your lesson is always helpful. If you are prepping for an audition, you can also bring your sheet music for me to take a look at. Make sure to bring water too!
What if I have never sung before? I am nervous!
It is TOTALLY UNDERSTANDABLE to be nervous. Singing in front of someone is a vulnerable thing. However, I promise that I am here only to encourage and support you and your goals. Don’t worry if you have never sung before - I will meet your voice where it’s at and we will work at your pace.
How often should I do lessons? Do I have to commit?
I offer drop in sessions for people who want to do one off lessons for whatever reason - maybe they are prepping for an audition or an event. However, if you want to make real progress I do recommend regular lessons to keep yourself accountable and keep your voice in shape. I offer block bookings and subscriptions for people who want to commit to a regular practice with a discount. We can discuss these options after your first session.
